"Romance of the Three Kingdoms", also known as "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms", is the most famous and outstanding long chapter historical novel in the history of Chinese novels. The author of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" was Luo Guanzhong, who was born in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasties, and was corrected by Mao Lun and Mao Zonggang. Before it was written, "The Story of the Three Kingdoms" had experienced hundreds of years of historical development. In the Tang Dynasty, the stories of the Three Kingdoms were widely circulated, and even children were familiar with them. With the development of civil literature and art, "talking" artists in the Song Dynasty already specialized in telling stories of the Three Kingdoms, which was called "Shuo Sanfen" at that time. The "Three Kingdoms Pinghua" that appeared in the Yuan Dynasty is actually a book used by storytellers. Although it is relatively simple and rough, it has initially confirmed the scale of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms". Based on the creation of folk legends and folk artists, and according to the materials cited in Chen Shou's "Three Kingdoms" and Pei Songzhi's notes (including "Shi Shuo Xin Yu" and the materials in the notes), Luo Guanzhong wrote In the magnificent masterpiece-"Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms", the book has 24 volumes and 240 chapters. Later, Mao Lun, Mao Zonggang and his son corrected and formed the 120 chapters edition of "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" that we see now.

Due to the discrepancy between the Mao Bian version selected by the Humanities Publishing House and Ming Jiajing's "Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms", the idea of supporting Liu and suppressing Cao was developed to an almost morbid angle, and a large number of characters praising Cao Cao's party in the original text were deleted. Poems and comments have given the world a wrong impression that the Romance of the Three Kingdoms attacked Cao Cao and praised Liu Bei, and this revised version deified Liu Bei's side infinitely, and even deleted all the plots such as Zhuge Liang's preparation to burn Wei Yan to death in the upper valley, and Zhuge It is said to be a perfect and almost god-like image, which is what everyone should pay attention to when reading.

Since this version uses Mao’s revised version, and does not include the comments of Mao’s father and son, it will give people an illusion that this version is different from Mao’s version. In fact, this book is completely different from Mao’s version. Consistent, but deleted the comment part and added the editor's footnote. Readers please pay attention when reading
