Four generations under one roof

"Four Generations Under One Roof" is the representative work of Mr. Lao She, which is divided into three parts: "Confusion", "Stealing a Life" and "Famine". It is one of the most representative works in Lao She's creative career. It shows the lives and struggles of ordinary people in the occupied areas of Beiping during the Anti-Japanese War, and shows the difficult and tortuous roads that ordinary people have traveled in the historical process of the great era. This script was back-translated by the translator Bi Bingbin (Dark Horse) based on the English manuscript of "Four Generations Under One Roof" co-translated by Pu Aide and Lao She. It completes the last sixteen sections of the lost third "Famine", presents Lao She's style of writing in an original way, and surpasses the published version in terms of the triple standard of honesty, expressiveness and elegance.
