This book is a general humanities reader that opens people's minds, trains their thinking, and grows themself. It introduces fundamental issues in the history of science and philosophy of science, such as what is truth, philosophical/conceptual facts, etc.; covers historical developments and philosophical topics that currently impact the scientific worldview, such as from Aristotelian worldview to Newton Changes in world outlook; discusses the challenges brought by the development of modern science, especially theories such as relativity, quantum mechanics, and evolution to the world outlook. To study science, one must not know where science comes from, let alone ignore the impact of science on world outlook.
