Rashomon

"Rashomon" tells the story of a dismissed servant and an old woman who was a robber, when faced with a life-and-death choice, they survived "naturally" by "fighting evil with evil". The novel pushes people to the limit of life and death choices with a suffocating compact layout, conveying the author's perspective and thinking on human nature.
