It is recognized by the world as the culmination of Zhang Wuchang's academic skills in his life, and it is also a classic work of economics with far-reaching influence. The Economic Interpretation series basically includes the essence of Professor Zhang's lifelong academic thought.

In 1982, Professor Zhang advocated in his inaugural speech at the University of Hong Kong: Let us be the trendsetters of economic explanation. This series of books on economic interpretation is the implementation of this idea and pioneered the method of economic interpretation.
