"Two Moments Pai An Surprise" is a collection of short vernacular stories published in the late Ming Dynasty in China. It was compiled by Ling Mochu and was written under the direct influence of "San Yan" in the Ming Dynasty. Surprise at the First Moment" is also called "Second Pai", which is as famous as Feng Menglong's "Three Words". "Three words" refers to "Yu Shi Ming Yan", "Jing Shi Tong Yan", "Xing Shi Heng Yan".
The book "Two Moment Pai An Surprise" was lost in China at the end of the Qing Dynasty. Only the Japanese cabinet library has a copy. In 1956, Wang Gulu copied the book according to Japan and added annotations. It was published by Shanghai Classical Literature in May 1957.
