"Xing Shi Heng Yan" is a collection of vernacular novels written by Feng Menglong, a Chinese writer in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. It was first published in the seventh year of Mingqi (1627). Later, under the direct influence of "Sanyan", Ling Yuchu wrote two collections of short stories: "Surprise at the First Moment" and "Surprise at the Second Moment", which are also called "Sanyan Erpai".

"Xing Shi Heng Yan" has 40 chapters in total, and each chapter is a short story. It was compiled later than "Yu Shi Ming Yan" and "Jing Shi Tong Yan", and there are only seven old works in the Yuan Dynasty, which are less than the previous two books.

Most of the works collected in "Xing Shi Heng Yan" are works of the Ming Dynasty, among which there may be Feng Menglong's own works. ", "He Daqing hated the mandarin ducks", "Bai Yuniang endured hardship and became a husband", "Zhang Tingxiu escaped to save his father", "Emperor Yang of Sui traveled and summoned condemnation", "Wu Ya Nei went to the appointment", "Lu Taixue's poetry and wine are proud of the prince" , "Li Jigong's Poor Mansion Meets a Knight", "Huang Xiucai's Lingyu Horse Pendant" and other articles may have been written by Feng Menglong.

The works of "Xingshi Hengyan" are mostly based on real life and folklore. The content involves officials' stupidity, the life of urban handicraftsmen, marriage, love, etc. Among them, "Fifteen Guan jokes become a coincidence", "The oil seller monopolizes the oiran" "The Old Man Guanyuan Meets the Fairy at Night" are all masterpieces.
